Amazing that the ancient Greeks were able to build this without modern means, and that it’s still standing. The acoustics is incredible, you can easily hear someone talk at normal volume when you are on the highest bench.

One of the best preserved ancient Greek theatres. This one in Epidaurus probably is the most sophisticated one. It is famous for excellent acoustics. Everyting said on the stage is well heard in the theatre. There also is interesting Asclepios temple and musuem in Epidaurus.

Worth a visit if you're in the area, as it's one of the most spectacular open-air theatres in the world, built thousands of years ago! The museum is fine as is the rest of the territory, so don't expect much more than the theatre for your money.

To be honest, I find the regular 12 euros a bit overpriced, taking into account that that's the same price as in Olympia and Delphi. However, the amphitheater is very impressive - even though the front prospectus isn't there anymore. Epidauros was also the first spa town - but there's really mostly ruins of foundations left... Not my favorite on my tour of the Peloponnes. But still impressive

One of the most emblematic theatres in Greece, still active today. Shows between June to August. Amazing acoustic and very pretty scenery
