The P.Lainas & Co Georion Ltd is an innovative company working in agriculture. Its operation started in the beginning of the year 2000 in the North part of Eleia prefecture, one of the most important and dynamically developing regions in Greece for the production of soft early soft fruits and vegetables. Primary goal is to enhance the production of high quality crops for the most demanding markets in Europe. Some of Georion's activities include: - Evaluation of vegetable varieties, soft fruits and top stone fruits. - Evaluation of rootstock/scion combinations for grafted vegetables. The same is going to be done for stone fruits. - Testing of new crops to be introduced. - Experiments with alternative growing systems. - Technical and economical analysis of the experimental data. - A vegetable nursery specialized in the production of grafted vegetables. - A group of highly skilled technical staff for the support of our growers. - Supply of agrochemicals and fertilizers in collaboration with all the big agrochemical and fertilizer companies.
