My favorite place at Pindos .... MUST visit-see .
To the east of the Prefecture of Ioannina, about 20 km northwest of Metsovo, is the artificial lake of Aoos springs. The lake was built in 1987 on the Politses plateau in order to produce energy. Around it there are 7 small dams with the largest one having a height of 78 m. Its area is 11.5 km2. and is at an altitude of 1,350 meters, which classifies it as the most mountainous large lake in Greece

Το μέρος είναι εξαιρετικής φυσικής ομορφιάς! ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ όμως, γιατί ξεκινώντας να κάνει κάποιος τον γύρο της λίμνης οδικως, στο ύψος του φράγματος θα βρει απαγορευτικες πινακιδες λόγω εργων και θα χρειαστεί να γυρίσει πίσω από τον ίδιο δρόμο , χωρίς να μπορέσει να συνεχίσει και να απολαύσει τελικά τον γύρο... Έστω και έτσι πάντως, η διαδρομή αξίζει. Τόση πολλή η ομορφιά!
