A really lovely guest house in the pretty village of Agios Athanasios. Very cool and fresh in summer, which makes a nice change from the hot plains and coast of Macedonia. Staff are really lovely and the breakfast is great. The village has nice restaurants and cafes and is in a beautiful but little explored part of the region. Bring warm clothes, even in summer.

Do yourself a favor and just avoid that awful hotel. It seems that the owner has stopped to clean it back then in February (pre covid) and didnt do any cleaning since then Mold is everywhere , broken sink, dirty bed sheets. Once I've tried to talk with the owner , he did everything not to answer my request and avoid talking with me. I really suggest , just look for a different place

Amazing place! A family business that makes you feel like home and never leave plus a small community with a beautiful soul. Clean, comfortable and beautiful landscapes waiting to be discovered. Definitely for those looking for quite and something less commercial.
