Nice Place

In its six small halls it houses finds from the Battle of Marathon and other artifacts from the area such as the Sanctuary of the Egyptian Gods which is located on the shores of Nea Makri. The museum also includes the sheltered cemetery of tombs of the Middle Bronze Age. It is quite challenging to visit it using public transports but definitely worth it.
Great museum and staff. Very friendly and helpful. A bit complicated to get there, but worth the drive.
Very hard to get to if you don't drive. But some unique archaeology for sure, you can tour the grounds and see some tombs too. Also dogs were a bonus. They don't speak English but happily let us roam around when we showed our student cards.
The highlight of my visit to Marathon. They have the remnants of the Trophy of Marathon here as well as artifacts from the Tumulus of the Athenians and Plateans. So lucky to have met the curator/manager, Anastasia. She gave us a private tour of the inside of the Tumulus of the Plateans. My wife said she felt like ‘Indiana Jones’. Super memorable for me.
Nice, but 6 per adult it's too much
Small museum but beautiful objects in exhibition. Few visitors so try, it is an excellent experience.
Great place, the guide was very helpful and showed us the inside of the tomb of the Plataeans. Six stars!
