Small museum, plenty of pieces exhibited acompanied with several posters with facts about the finds and the period they're from. Worth the 2 euros per adult (children got in free)

Such a small and very interesting treasure! A good way to explore the era of the Minoan Times Crête, with a lot of descriptions of the daily life of the people and their minds. The statue at the entrance is a marvel of art, even today in my opinion. I was quite astonished of the work that has been done to bring this museum to life. Very good job to the archaeological team, please make sure the artifacts are all lit up and the descriptions - in a few of the displays - corrected (minoan - mycenean and so on..)

Thats a small museum but you must visit. Only 3euros entrance and free for children. There are many artifacts and tools from minoans daily life. The palaiokastros kouros is the museums little star. Art at its best. A unique small statue just a half meter high, a really masterpiece you dont see everyday. I am really sorry again because the state doesnt give money and interest for heritage, it is placed in a pure vitrina like a cheap cloth.

Though not as magnificent as Heraklion, is worth a visit

Small but very interesting little museum with lots of artifacts accompanied with adequate explanation in English and Greek makes for a wonderful little history lesson of the ancient Crete and it's inhabitants. Only 2 Euro entrance.

Many things to see with only 2. The museum albeit small as a building is really full. The texts throughout the museum are very informative.
