My wife and I almost missed this place as we walked from the Acropolis to Monastiraki Square and I'm glad we stopped. I opted to walk up the original steps and it's BRUTAL. There is an easier path along the side. The view was beautiful and the history associated with the hill means this 15 - 30 minute stop is a must. And free.

In this place, if you come and don't take photos, I don't know what you do with their lives. It is a place with a view, impressive. The best time to go (and take photos) is sunrise, and sunset. Highly recommended and beautiful place to visit on vacation.
Don't miss a wonderful view over Athen and the most beautiful sunset and sunrise in the city. Easily available near the Acropolis and completely free. Also very romantic so do bring a drink and your significant other. The stones can be a bit slippery so watch your step, especially at dark.
The Arepagus is associated with the spread of Christianity here in Greece when the Apostle Paul gave his speech from this hill. I will have to check the scriptural verses and add.
Amazing view point. One of the best experiences in my life and very beautiful sunrise watch. I went with a couple friends very high on acid and it was the most gorgeous thing we've seen in our lives. There were a group of Japanese photographers and we all chilled together and enjoyed watching the sun come up. Recommend visits after visits!
Great view over the city and Akropolis. Also worth coming here at sunset or after for even more amazing views
Incredible view over Athens and the Acropolis, well worth walking up if you have the time. It wasn't too busy either, few people sitting with drinks admiring the view.
Favourite place to watch the sunset! Scenic 360 degree view of Athens. Watch your step, this marble hill can be slippery.
