It used to be an excellent bar, with cozy atmosphere & cocktails, but after a yesterdays visit for a mojito after work, 2 stars are more than enough. Mojitos and other cocktails were premade mixtures, without any sense of freshness. One star for the very bad, 9euros cocktails and another star for the lovely cat and the waitress who understood on her own, that we did not like the mojitos and brought us new ones.

Famous for the cocktails, and rightly so! Our group tried at least 4 of the ones on the menu and all of them were made perfectly... not overly sweet! Under the Bridge is really good! Very crowded bar, great music! Service was excellent. Great vibe! The bartender was so sweet to even give me a pinwheel! This bar is nestled between a couple of others in a little strip. Very lively on a weekend night. And just around the corner from our hotel!

Ipitou is a cool street bar perfect for balmy summer nights as you sit outside enjoying luscious cocktails made by experienced bartenders.In this little oasis off the busy centre of Syntagma, there is “Ipitou the Bar” This quiet alley by day turns into a busy night spot, however it maintains a cool and elegant vibe. Buzzing on summer nights it’s one of the cosiest and trendiest bars of Athens.A definite favourite with locals, it echoes the cobbled streets of an Aegean island giving it a warm, welcoming feel. The cocktail menu is delightful and their most popular beverage is the Cumulus Nimbus, with the flavour base of the fruit changing, depending on the time of year. Also make a point of trying the Bandidos de Maracujas, while listening to soul, jazz and funky DJ sets.

Asked for a single espresso shot and got the answer: we don't make single espresso, only double ! I asked why and here's the dry answer \I don't have cups for single espresso\. Not sure if he was joking so I laughed ...but no, he was serious ... anyways I got the double -- mediocre taste...
