The place is very nicely decorated and the food was good. Excellent pouched eggs benedict and awesome hollandaise sauce. The pancakes were good, but not quite close to the original (way too sweet personally). Overall was nice, but I was very upset by the lack of vegetarian options (to not consider vegans). When I asked to substitute the beacon in my eggs with a bit of avocado (which they have in the menu) I was told that they don’t make changes. I found a bit disappointing that they didn’t try to come towards me.
The store is very nice near a theater but there is no metro station but only buses. The interior decoration is beautiful and the theme from this special bird is really nice. Coctails are ok and also the staff. Its inner courtyard has several plants and beautiful furniture. I will go again at night because it must be more beautiful.

The space is formed from two houses and a store that were built in 1930. The renovation kept the old authentic character of the Athenian court with aesthetic touches from countries like Morocco and Mexico. The name name of of the bar is how the ornithologists call the the hoopoe. One of the most beautiful birds!!! At Upupa apart from the impeccable service someone can find small plates and amazing cocktails including the Amnesia which is one of my favorites!!! The Upupa also serves brunch that includes delicious pancakes!!! A must visit for anyone that happens to be at the area.
My rating was five stars until i tasted their brunch! Unfortunatelly very bad quality of products. I didn't expect it because both beverages and cocktails are pretty good, also music is carefully selected and the place is well-decorated with friendly and helpful staff. I hope next time to change my opinion!
