Visited back in Sep 2018. Lovely place. Felt very safe and welcomed! The staff were super friendly and so were all the guests we met. Beds were fine, didn’t have any problems while visiting. Only issue I found was the shower, water would spray onto ground and create a big puddle.

I love this place in the city centre of Athens. It is a small place, a bit older (because of a hotel in earlier times), but friendly stuff, cleaning rooms every day. This place is surrounded by many possibilities for eating & drinking, sightseeing and shopping (if you need that). Since almost 5 years I am just booking a bed in Zorbas :) Thanks a lot to both of the managers Yiannis & Akis!
Small claustophobic dormitories but unlike most other hostels there is female dormitory optiok hence the 5 stars. Cute cafe area with automat machibe for snacks. Victoria square is not safe if u dont take care of your belongings. Some shady characters permanently there. The metro at victoria quicly takes you to better parts of athens. 24/7 shops nearby but didnt feel safe after midnight to walk alone.
Friendly staff always helpful, they answer all my 1000 questions..!! The area is quiet and safe with many nice cafes , restaurants and supermarkets . Definitely recommended cause especially if you are a solo traveler they’ll make you feel like home ! Thanks guys.
It was snowing outside when we arrived, and our room was freezing cold, (the window was open) and the heather didn’t really work, we have to sleep with our coat on. The staff that we first encountered (an older staff) is not super helpful, when I ask about the walking tour he doesn’t seem to know much and kept telling me to “just ask the guy in charge tomorrow when he comes” because “this walking tour is not run by zorbas hostel” not helpful at all * The next day we met another younger staff at the counter who was nicer :) We booked a triple room but ended up in a four bed dorm, it was super small. Luckily the toilet was clean (lots of reviews commented that the toilet was disgusting) The whole place is filled with cigarette smell. We witnessed someone smoking in the public toilet downstairs. Good for a short stay and it’s cheap, but for the three of us, we paid SGD41 and we could’ve booked an Airbnb with a nicer condition.
Nice enough hostel for the cheap price of 9 per night. Free coffee/tea and cookies in the morning. It's about 30 minutes walk to city center or much faster by metro. Valuable storage available behind reception counter, towels are 1 each. Only downside was the room bathroom which was covered by a layer of water (didn't run to drainage), no hooks for towels or clothes so can be unhygienic and the light cable was hanging off the side of the wall. Overall, still recommend for lowest budget travelers.
It's a nice hotel. And cheap
Nice and friendly
