Estate Barafaka is a creature of Christos Barafakas.On 2002, in the modern winery, begins the first vinification of 80 acres of the family’s vineyards in Nemea, which is one of the biggest wine growing-region of Greece with ambassador the Agiorgitiko and international varieties of grapes. Estate Barafaka produces 15000 bottles per year, from which the labels are the following:Ampeloy Idea Nemea red, Ampeloy Idea White and Ampeloy Idea Roze.Also the label Nemea P.O.P, An aged wine, ‘Fessi’ from the varieties Agiorgitiko-Cabernet Sauvignon an aged wine, too.’Xilia Xronia’, is the name of the white wine from the variety Chardonnay, an aged wine for 3 months in barrels and at the end ‘Fylaxto’ a sweet wine from the variety Asirtiko. All of the Barafaka’s wines have participated in competitions and have won gold and silver awards in some very popular and international wines.
