BAT is a non-profit organization of students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki associated with life sciences. Founded in 2014 by students of Biology; within a year was spread into other scientific fields with the cooperation of students from other departments of the Aristotle University (e.g. Engineering Faculty, School of Chemistry and Medicine). Our goals are: - To promote the science of Biology and interdisciplinary scientific approaches within the students' society - Spread the word - awareness about social issues related to public health or environment - Further education: informative seminars about postgraduate studies, internships and workshops - Interdisciplinary cooperation with other students' organizations To achieve the aforementioned goals we voluntarily organize events and local actions. So far we have carried out outdoor experiments and exhibitions, a two-day campaign about HIV, an environmental day seminar about planet water supplies and ecology of water ecosystems, hiking events, journal clubs, educational opportunities meetings, career development and entrepreneurship day seminars.
