Also the area it's famous as the city with the crazy waters, cause the water direction changes every 6-7 hours , Just for the record , 6 or 7 times in the month the water direction changes 14 times in a day. Also there is a digital table on the bridge displaying the exact time that the bridge \opens\ In order to pass a ferry.

The narrowest point between land and Evia island. The speed of the water is very high and it changes the direction several times during the day.
Just beautiful and effective.. Phenomenon! The sea moves up and down every 6 hours for 23 days and the next 7 days moves up to 13th times in 24 hours. Under the bridge the sea takes 39m extent, 40m breadth and 8.5m is the bottom! The earth love the moon! People walking around and around and somehow you feel romantic and beautiful! Naturally your mind, travel back in time, to meet Aristotle trying to explain this phenomenon..
This is the main area with cafes and restaurants of the area. The bridge itself is not so pretty, what is remarkable is the fact that the waters change direction of flow during the day! People go cayaking in the river even during the winter. For the ones not so sporty, the cafes or a stroll across the river side is a very good option too.
