Historical church, strongly bonded with Thessaloniki's life. Different in appearance from the usual Byzantine church art. Worth to visit!

Secluded, peaceful, and incredible architect; a place of prayer for any religion. Opened to all public regardless of beliefs, a section for praying candles to buy where you just drop a coin in a slot, at good will, no one there to check, a holy place indeed.
Used to be a monastery during the medieval period. It became the first metropolitan church after Thessaloniki's independence from Turks in October 26th, 1912. A must see.
One of the most historic byzantine monuments of the city.
Old Byzantine church. It is more than a church, it is part of history.
