In October 2004, the company signed a contract with Appliances Recycling S.A., the official collective system authorised by the Greek Ministry of Environment to manage the WEEE in Greece. E.K.AN. S.A. uses BATRRT (Best Available Treatment, Recovery & Recycling Technologies) to ensure the highest quality for the collection, classification, decontamination and treatment of all sorts of electric and electronic devices, from simple domestic appliances to more complex professional equipment such as medical equipment as well as telecommunication equipment.
