Read and write reviews about Joy Park: A Park for All Social Enterprise. “Joy Park: A Park for All” is a Non-for Profit Organization that seeks to create accessible, adjusted with appropriate equipment innovative entertainment and educational spaces for children and adults of all abilities, as well as to reconstruct and take full advantage of existing poor structures in Greece. Our aim is to create a new philosophy surrounding people with disabilities, while defeating social prejudice against them in modern Greece. Most people have the ability to explore, climb trees, visit the park and sit with their friends. However, many children and adults with disabilities, sometimes find it difficult to enjoy the simple joys of life. Physical and mental, as well as sensory impairments, substantially affect the ability to play, learn and engage in mutual social interaction, but above all the ability to be happy. The idea to create this Park was birthed by the need for all kids to play, as well as the will of all adults to be socially active. It is those needs that birthed the Joy Park. Joy Park's core consists of the creation of the very first, truly adjusted and accessible entertainment park, with the appropriate equipment to correspond to the needs of children and adults with disabilities. Through the creation of the appropriate infrastructure and adjusted activities, our aim is for all children regardless of their abilities to be able to enjoy to play. Under the supervision of suitably qualified professionals, children with and without disabilities will have the opportunity to play, to discover, to act and to express themselves freely, to learn the world and the people around them, in an environment of equal opportunities, in order to promote from an early age a strong familiarity and acceptance of peoples' differences. Tailored swings, accessible slides and castles, sensory playrooms next to specially designed libraries and music, dance halls, as well as adjusted gym equipment. Our dream is to create an environment with the necessary spaces to accommodate all people, regardless of their abilities. At the same time, the Joy Park aims to create an environment that is attractive to everyone, while offering a variety of different innovative educational and recreational benefits, with the aim to substantially include and engage people into social activities, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. The Joy Park: A Park for All in collaboration with other educational & entertainment organizations, is offering the following adjusted services to children and young adults with and without disabilities: • Adjusted educational and recreational activities for children with and without disabilities. • Adjusted sport activities and martial arts for children with and without disabilities • Support groups for parents of children with disabilities teams. • Training workshops, lectures and events to raise awareness about disability and integration. The Joy Park: A Park for All has been awarded a place in the 4th cycle of the young innovative entrepreneurship program Egg – Enter Grow Go of Eurobank in cooperation with Corallia, as well as in the 4th cycle of the accelerator program for NPOs Higgs – Higher Incubator Giving Growth & Sustainability.
