Recommended visit if you are around! Shouldn't take more that an hour and you'll definitely learn a lot about Kalavryta, the Axis occupation of the town and the massacre...
A MUST see museum that reveals the local holocaust of the the citizens of Calavryta and the cruelty of the Natzis during the second World War.
Shocking. Never forget what racism leads to. So many souls lost
Sad history but very informative Museum
Very sad but fantastic museum!!
It is a monumental structure that was missing to remind the passing of the civilised Europeans from the region of Kalavryta. It gives an opportunity to appreciate philosophy and the meaning of life! A visit there helps to understand how ...far a human mind can go, obeying human orders. Sophocles teach us (25 centuries ago) in \Antigone\ that the natural law, the ethical law dominates the contemporary man's law!
The museum documents the crimes of the German Wehrmacht in Kalavryta vividly and on the basis of well-founded archival sources. The concentration on the individual victims creates a very emotional approach to history. The brutality and cynicism of the German soldiers is incomprehensible.
