We spent one wonderful week at Cyclades, sailing with a Dufour 460. The weather was amazing and despite the Covid situation, we didn't face any problem. The guys in the base were very helpful and polite. We hope we come again this or next season!

We chartered a skippered Catamaran from Lavrio. We had a terrific time and the weather was sensational. the best period to charetr a yacht is definiytley end of September / beginning of October. The prices are realy fair and the weather is still great. The Olympic Marine is very organised and clean with cafes, restaurants and very clean facilities.
Check-in was delayed by 3 hours. The sailing boat had severe electrical issues and malfunctions. In addition to that the stowe had gas leakage, which resulted in a flame blow up on enlightening! This caused severe burns on the face of one of our crew member(photos have been taken for documentation)! The agent and the charter company are pointing at each other regarding the question of any refund.... For us it was definitely the last time booking through sailchecker and hermesyachting!
We chartered on the 15th of Augist the lovely Elisavet a Sun Odyssey 43. The yacht was in perfect condition & the base staff was really helpful. Lavrio is a great starting point if you want to sail towards the Cyclades.
We chatered a lovely Dufour 460 from Lavrio. It was our first time at this area but for sure not the last.
Horrible checkout. Not fair at all. We waited for ages and than they charged us for the faut od their emploee with no chance to write protocol without disclaimer that we take the full responsibility. They promised check out on friday but wanted to check main sail after our departure to the airport next day. To the answer: At the beggining was yacht in good condition, that is true. And it was in the same condition after our return to the marina. Your link with photos leads to a completely different yacht. The main problem is that it was not us, who broke the hatch. It was in perfect condition at the begining of chekout procedure. It was one of your emploee who broke it! He disappeared after this incident and we had to chace other emploees in charge to tell them all. It took us 4 hours. We were told at least three times by three people that they would discuss it with their colleagues and come in 15 minutes, but nothing happened. Our testimony was finally heard, but not accepted. And we were almost forsed to sign checkout protocol, that all is our responsibility, but we refused. We were told not to take it personally. Come on! We were put in the position of liars. We are not kids, if we broke it, we wouldn't blame it on anyone else. To the mail sail: We were promised at the begining of our trip that it is possible to do the complete checkout on friday. To check main sail is a question of 5 minutes and there was almost no wind that day. To check the main sail after our departure was unacceptalbe for us after our experience with your emploee who broke the hatch. We have lost our trust in your staff. Than your boys came and tried to jam the sail probably by intentional unprofessional intervention just to bully us (we have four witnesses from aour crew for this!). Such behavior is unacceptable to us. We don't consider behavior of some of your emploees to be professional.
Nice base with friendly staff. We rented a new Dufour 460 with the 5 cabin layout. The yacht was really well equipped and even had a BBQ at the cockpit which was really fun!
Friendly staff, which is not well organized - essential equipment (lines, silverware, ...) not available on site and not possible to organize from athens on short notice. Thanks to Bavaria 46 (already quite old boat), the sailing experience was excellent, even though the maintenence of the boat was very poor (old and damaged lines, partly working electricity, weak board batteries, solar panel not working, good but very dirty motor, worn out kitchen equipment, ...). If the base could improve its management (and so the maintenence of the yachts), this might become an excellent starting point to sail through the agean!
