Very beautiful on the outside, but inside it leaves a little to be desired. When I visited, there was a kind of art fair. It looks really spectacular when the sun is setting and its pink tone gets even more alive.

Mosque is close to the see. Great place to take a picture. Inside you can find a local temporary exhibition. You need to have approximately half hour to see the mosque from outside and visit exhibition inside. The entrance is free.
Destroyed by the Greece, an important sample to see how a holy place has been destroyed by the Greece policy, even very historical. Muslim community doesn't have a mosque on the island.
Historic mosque from the 17th century right on the Venetian harbor in Chania. The building now houses the municipal art gallery of China.
Destroyed mercilessly... There is nothing special left... Unfortunately Chania lost its culture, cosmopolitan soul and environment....
Great site for displaying local crafts and artworks. Amazing building. Been here many times. Great Greek dancing displays on stage at rear of building.
It sounds bigger than it is. That's the only disappointment if you were planning to visit this place because you saw a super high rating on Google like we did. That's not to say that the Mosque is not a notable historic site with cultural value for the country, but its no Aghia Sofia if you know what I mean. Its location is beautiful on the harbour. Its original name translates to the Harbour Mosque or seaside Mosque. It has been repurposed to become a public venue. When I visited it had an art exhibit with interesting modern art sculptures. No entrance fee, but a donation to the committee responsible for its maintenance would be a thoughtful gesture on your behalf.
Just part of scenery. There’s nothing left inside of the mosque so no need to visit. It’s somewhat run down even outside.
