Words are never enough for this island. Been there already 4 times and I never get bored. Despite being a small island there is a ton of things to do and explore. Every time I visit I find some new secret amazing place.

Nice little island, where the time really has stopped. We came by boat from Samos, for a day. We visited the cave and monastery, and still had time to stroll the town like 5 times around. Very quiet. Couple of nice shops. For us half day (10.30 - 15.30) was enough. On our way back the wind was 10m/sec and the boat ride was very rough.

This I say 4th time in Patmos and I can't get enough. Renting a house for 2 weeks at a time, in Chora, is just the perfect spot to begin your relax summer vacation. Patmos is to the opera , Like Mykonos is to the Kardashians. The food, the islands, and their waters are just what you dream for. Sailing on perfect days, makes this gem of paradise an exciting & lovingvacation. 2018 was great and cannot wait to come back. Enjoy some of my pics from this great island, some exciting food, islands our house & the beautiful waters. Our sail boat can be found at @patmos.sailing for more info. Small, manageable, walkable with easy local bus or taxi transport to monestary and churches .

This was truly a WOW visit. The monastery on top of hill above town was well worth the visit, few tourists as small island and the larger cruise ships cant come in. We were the only cruise in port. The town very walkable, shopping very good, people very nice, didnt feel touristy. Best of the stops on our cruise.
