It was my first experience in diving. My son had a little more experience. The guys from this center without wasting time simply and clearly explained to us what and how to do, interviewed us in detail about our health and we went under water. The equipment was great, our guide followed us closely, instructing us when it was necessary and half an hour under the water were fascinating and unnoticeable.
I did one dive with my girlfriend. The dive itself was very pleasant. As the marine biodiversity is limited, I'd qualify the dive as an "atmospheric" one with multi-faceted rock formations, changing ocean colours and invigorated by a highlight near the end of the dive. I'd also like to highlight the owners sympathy for my girlfriend, who had to abord the dive at the beginning, as he didn't charge her anything.
Absolutely fine if you speak French. I was the only non-fluent French speaker and was ignored the entire time. No one asked to see my PADI card or ask how experienced I was. My buddy and instructor was in the water before I even knew which set of equipment was mine, and no buddy checks were done. Surfaced without a safety stop and only 30 bar left in tank. Topography was beautiful and the rest of the boat seemed happy, including my friend (a native French speaker) who did the Discover Scuba Diving and loved it, and found the instruction to be very thorough and friendly. Spoke to instructor after first dive, and consequently second one was much better. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for and left feeling let down.
Wonderful location and people running the centre. They are like a big family that a part from running a business, enjoy what they do offering far more that you pay for. Yannis will discover you the most amazing spots to dive around Milos island. There is only one bad review, Amanda Barba. Funny when the review of someone over a dive service is about food and English level! The owner of this Diving Center is very experienced and their son and daughter started diving at the age of 3 with him. He will take care of your safety. I guess when you go diving, bringing your own sandwich is not difficult. Moreover, although I find funny when people expect the whole world having to speak their language, the truth is that they speak Greek, French and English fluently. There is another diving centre far more expensive and who only take you to spots very closed to Adamas.
Excellent diving school. Yannis has a lot of experience (more than 20.000 dives..!!). He don't speaks a lot of english, but there is always someone around who can translate. He is very calm and easy. We were not experienced in diving but felt completely safe with him. The diving spots are great. What a scenery! And I agree about the previous comment about the negatieve reviews: they don't serve food between the dives and don't speak a lot of english. Come on guys.. what do you expect? You are here to dive, not for a complete welness treatment.. there is time for lunch on the island between the dives. secondly, you don't speak english underwater. Briefing before was perfectly translated to English by a second instructor. Conclusion: I definitely recommend it!
There is a other diving Center in Adamas, better go there!! I had 2 dives and the instructor did not know anything. the boat was not very confi. No lunch as well for a price of 45 (for 1 dive). We had to pay cash, so i think they don’t want to pay taxes. they rarely speak english.
Bought some diving equipments. They open in the end of Feb, off season so we are very glad. Helpful and friendly staffs.
