Simi, Greece

Nice island and town. Very tasty seafood in local cafes. It's pretty good to visit it for a while but I would never stay to live here. I really can't understand how people in 21 century in Europe can live in such conditions. This colored buildings look nice from afar but closer they're horrible. However, people here are very hospitable and kind

this is probably where the greek island in Murakami's "Sputnik Sweetheart" is set in, i'll like to visit someday.
Beautiful quite village. The best way is getting there by sea sailing. Very nice cove. But don't be confused, beware of north-east winds. And don't miss claiming up the settled mountain - see photos I uploaded - this is the view. wander around the narrow allies, find a small coffee and enjoy the breeze.
the scenery really great . pure Greek architecture
A very beautiful island and spectacular scenery! recommended!
From rodos to simi goes fast boat. 22.20 per person round trip(both way) We go at 9 and come back in 4:45 pm. (Enough time to spend on iceland) veri punctually and fast. Be shure if you sit up layer and on the back side the boat maybe water sparkles will wet you .:). Have fun.
It's not worth going to Symi. We had a 3 hour stay. 1 hour was a guided tour, which included a 20 minute stop in a shop. 1 hour was lunchtime and then we had another hour for ourselves to discover Symi on our own. I needed another 5 minutes to see what was not shown during the guided tour and that looked similar to what I saw before. Don't get me wrong, some of the buildings look really nice, but taking into account having a 2 hour cruise to Symi and 2 hours back is just not worth it.
Amazing place with a breathtaking harbour and houses dotted around. Don't jump into the first bar or restaurant off the boat. Wander off the beaten track a little and seek out some bargains. The locals are very pleasant and not at all pushy which you get in many tourist traps.
