Pretty awesome museum. One of the highlights of the town. Sadly. But you will get the know everything about olives and the oil. I loved the AC they had cos it was very hot that day and in the museum the temperature is low. Great! • Did you know why people are awarded with cups? I didn’t till I visited this museum. It’s connected with ancient games (Olympic or so) and the winner gets cup full of the best olive oil a lot of money in ancient times. • and many more other interesting stuff to find in that museum.

A small modern museum devoting itself to olives. You feel you know everything there is to know about olives, growing them, their uses etc when you have finished the tour! The exhibits are really nicely presented with lots of photos and graphics. The only thing that I would have liked to have seen was a tasting. They say they produce the best olive oil in the world so why could they not let us taste it?

A modern museum very close to city center of Sparta. It is very educational and the ticket is quite cheap. You can learn many things about the usage and the production procedure of the olive oil since prehistoric times. There are many ancient machines and fossils of olive leafs. A must visit place of Sparta.

Beautitul museum dedicated to the tree of olive. Modern exhibition, with historical and educational information, regarding the production and the usage of olive from the ancient years until now. Both indoor and outdoor exhibition space, a gift shop, mini market with olive products and a cafe exist at the museum. The time i visited it, there was also a small interesting archeological exhibition. The entrance is 3 euros for adults.

Well designed, modern, entertaining and high informative museum for all ages. Worth a visit, for almost all ages - only for very small kids maybe not so interesting
