This is a very good restaurant, if you like beef! They got a very nice selection of dry-aged, and the set-menu is also packed with beef-goddies like a starter plate of tartar and carpaccio, followed by a really nice solid piece of beef filet with great flavour, even tho not dry-aged. We opted for a addition of dry-age and it was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised, trying a Greek redwine with full body and flavour, to go with the meal. Skilled and friendly service. Located in a small shopping-alley makes this place easy to miss, but these guys are definently worth a visit.

The mains steaks were exemplary; cooked precisely to (differing) order, meltingly tender, plenty of flavour, not a single mouthful of gristle or chewy membrane. A delightful accompanying salad featured curd cheese and crunchy, rustic croutons. We realised we hadn’t ordered any carbs, and a side of thinly-sliced sautéed potatoes arrived swiftly.
The meat is good but the waitress made us order 1.6kg of meat for 2 children aged 10 and 12 which was too much. I do not recommend this place which forces tourists to order too much. The addition was as important as the amount of meat that my children were unable to eat.
Perfect evening with my girlfriend. Great piece of Greek dry aged entrecote with a tasteful Shiraz. Very nice staff and owner. Next time when we are in Athens we will definitely come back!
A little hard to find as the neon sign makes it look like a bar. I think this is mostly a weekday business restaurant. They need a smaller menu if they can't offer all the dishes on it. We were told what we thought were recommendations but turned out to be more or less the only things we could have. Anyway, the food we ordered was good and we were stuffed. Service needs improvement, aside from the miscommunication which is at least our fault for expecting service in English, the water girl poured still into my sparkling water (however we got another bottle free). The urinals also flood from the drain in the floor when they flush and the staff didn't seem either bothered or surprised when I reported it, which was a bit unpleasant.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere - I can't think of anything they could have done better. This was the tastiest meal we had in Greece. We had a couple of incredible salads, and then Lamb that was so tender and juicy (I didn't even think I liked lamb before this!). We didn't go at a peak time, so there were only a couple other tables in use in the restaurant. Beautiful setting with enjoyable ambiance. Server heard us talking about an item we wanted to try but didn't end up ordering, so brought us a mini-appetizer on the house. We loved it, this is our favourite place to eat in Athens!
Saturday night we discovered this secret restaurant in the heart of Athens. As meat lover I am very picky but Tilemachos exceeded my expectations. The wines from Greece, New Zealand, France and South Africa, the amazing stuff in combination with the most tasty meat really made our night! Must visit while in Athens !!! Ask for George ( the owner) at the door and he will treat you well!
