Interesting ancient marble quarry. It is possible to walk along the hiking that leads around the peninsula. In the vicinity are beautiful views and interesting places to photograph.

The entry was free. The quarries are well preserved, it's a must see. The view is also lovely. We really enjoyed this walk
What an amazing surprise to find near Aliki beach, Thassos. The ancient quarry was a place built for a community of workers that were extracting marble between 6th century B.C. and 6th century A.D. The ruins still standing are a temple lying in a small beautiful gulf and a protochristian church over the hill - take your time to visit the site in silence to learn its beauty.
Very interesting. Must not miss.
Magic Place - especially in spring. You can walk around and discover on your own. Stunning scenery.
Free entrance, open air museum. A chance to see how marble was extracted in ancient times, and the impact it had on the area.
Hot work walking round this ancient stone quarry. Amazing to see where the work was done.
Nice view.
