Good for kids
One of the central squares of Thessaloniki that in the old days was out of the city limits, just off the city walls, remnants of which can still be seen. The main feature of the square is the fountain, created during the ottoman occupation to water the animals grazing in the fields around. Nowadays is incredibly busy with traffic, students from the nearby Aristotelian University. There is also the main entrance of the International Fair. The hotel ABC is right on the square and there are numerous restaurants and cafes in the area.

It's a pity that there are hardly any traces of the Turks left here again, as in other parts and buildings of the city.
Wonderful place, easily accessible and quite prominent. Perfect for photos.
One of the most known trademarks of the city of Thessaloniki.
Nice place walk by when you are going to White Tower of Thessaloniki.
Beautiful and seen from all sides...
Lovely sort of crossroads, with a view to the castles
The main picture that they have of this fountain is wrong. The photo below is the actual fountain located at this location.
