The University of Macedonia (PAMAK) is a Greek Higher Education Institution based in Thessaloniki, as is the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Founded in 1948, it was first opened in the academic year 1957-58. The University comprises eight Academic Departments which are located in the main building in Thessaloniki with about 16,000 students.
