Veria, Greece

This old Synagogue besides a river has a long (2000yr) history and bears an ancient blessing which even I could feel. It's not in use, but it surely is a very beautiful and spiritual loaded place. I would surely recommend a visit if not for the experience then for the story.

Such history can never be forgotten, this place is so well kept kudos to the friendly man and his family that keep it so clean. They explain the history so well to you its very nice. It's a must to come here and relive the 2000 -/ year history
Great place to visit especially if you are into biblical history. One of the few places that still has Goes name. Definitely must visit place of you visit Thesssaloniki. Just a note that there is a local guide present at the venue only on some of the afternoons mid week so it's worth visiting then, it is worth as she can explain as lot about the history.
Excellent view. Historical place. Amazing. I recommend this place.
Worth seeing. A very devoted and kind guide will greet you and tell you everything you need to know about this precious place. Unfortunately, I did not get her name. She deserves 6 stars out of 5!
Beutiful, well maintained historical site. Mr. Nikos and Ave keep the old synagogue in great condition and a very friendly environment. Touching place.
Northern Greece is relatively undiscoved. Veria is a gem of a town with a river running through it & a nice eat-out above the river. Above the town is one of the oldest remaing synagogues of Greece. It is maintained by a saintly women. Worthy of a visit.
a great piece of history
