It's shall, family owned winery. They produce only 4 sorts of wine (organic) and olive oil. You can take wine tasting for 5 or with a tour for 7.

Currently no tours allowed due to covid-19. But the owner was very courteous and kind and was showing and explaining everything. Tasting was fine. The privacy without any other tourists was enjoyable but certainly not profitable for the family. Had a great time, you should come and visit :)
Lovely family winery! We took a taxi and it was worth the ride out here.
As we drove on a narrow road in a Greek village heading to Winery Stilianou, this young guy was patient driving behind us (unlike many of us young guys). After arriving then we realized he was the son of the owner of Winery Stilianou and also our guide in the premises. Great character and the family was very friendly! The information and presentation was great, and it was done professionally. He also answered all our questions.The wine tasting was guided by the dad (the owner) which was also great! The premises are clean, well maintained and organised. The table are already well arranged, with wine glasses and the brochures when the visitors arrive. We bought some wine and the owner ensured that they were packaged well for traveling through Airports. Very professional! You can not miss this while in Crete!!
It was an excellent experience. It's a pretty small winery and that's the best part. The tour ( including wine tasting 5 ) is a bit overpriced because it's really short. Though the wine tasting was pretty good. It included 4 different wines and also olive oil tasting. The family who runs the place are very friendly and passionate about their job. I really recommend it.
Charming small family winery with organic vineyards. If you want to enjoy Cretan handcrafted organic wines this is definitely the right place to visit. The location is easy to find – there are distinct signs on the road and in the village of Kounavi, so you can easily drive here. The wine tasting includes four different wines – dry white, dry rose, dry red and sweet red as a dessert. Plus you can also taste organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil which is made from the olive trees, growing around the winery. The outside sitting area is beautiful – nice and shady under the mulberry trees with fantastic view of vineyards and mountains. They also have inside sitting area for the cool days. Giannis Stilianou (the owner) and his wife are very welcoming. They greet every visitor in person and with true Cretan warm hospitality! I also like that that you can plan your visit for the weekend – from April till the end of October they work every day including Sunday. We came here just for the tasting, but keep coming back ever since to enjoy wine with a view and to buy some bottles home. Highly recommended!
Unique organic winery with wines well respected all over the world and especially in USA. Don’t miss to visit, take the tour and try the wines. The owner is a superhost along with his son and all his family!
We really enjoyed this wonderful little family owned winery. We met the (4th generation) owner, and he gave us a private tour and tasting. The wine is very good, reasonably priced, and we weren't even charged for the tasting. I highly recommend Stilianou Winery.
