Burial grounds for 18 Polish soldiers of the 13th Rifle Corps Regiment who perished, while serving in Rethymnon, under Russian command, between 1897 and 1905. Troops from Italy, France, Russia and England, during the Cretan independence war of 1987 and in the following years of Cretan autonomy, fought securing neutral zones 6 km from major cities of the island and maintaining order, until solid political decisions were taken by the Ottoman Empire, Greece and the Major Powers, concerning the fate of Crete. A commemorative plaque from 1933 is visible, within the premises, marking all the fighters' names and the date of death.
