An impressive medieval fortress towering above the Nafplio. You have to climb some thousand steps to get to the top. Stunning views of Naflpio and sea are nice reward for the effort.

This monument is awesome, although it is not well preserved. Actually, the fortress is in good conditions but there is not the necessary care towards the place. We opted for the stairs climbing and it was a very nice walk: more than 900 steps to reach the top. Take some water, some snacks and enjoy the view!
Amazing view , the fortress is big enough but you can easily walk it. I would recommend Goos pair of shoes as you walk on old stones that got slippery over time . Under the age of 25 you are allowed free entrance. It's open until 20:00.
Nice view to Nafplio and the Sea. Great historical monument, I like'd it.
The most beautiful place. There is lots to see. The fortress is in very good condition. The detailed signs are in Greek and English. The church was open today. Benches available to relax and enjoy the outside fresh air and amazing scenery. Friendly staff. You can walk up the steps 999 small wide stairs with lots of place to take a rest if need for pictures. Or you can drive up or take the hop off hop on bus. Clean toilets. Been it many times for the view and pictures.
This place is massive. We climbed the steps and spent 3 hours inside. Amazing views of the town and the waters. We had a really lovely time. Worth the climb and the money to get in.
Amazing place. Great views, plenty to see. BUT 7 cars, including ours were broken into so be extra careful. Not the first time it has happened.
