Excellent fried dough balls with fillings. Mainly sweet, a few savory. Late hours and central location makes it a perfect stop on the way home. Can take with you in a box.

It was my very first time visiting Athens and this place introduced me the lukumades which was absolutely amazing! Nice location, friendly staffs, just that the place is a little small. Overall quite impressive!
CONCLUSION: fun, friendly and flavourful. LOCATION: conveniently located on a main pedestrianised street with lots of seating inside or outside (covered and non covered). PRODUCT: they made Greek-donuts on site, while you watch (and smell!). We had Greek coffees - robust and thick and flavourful. SERVICE: super friendly and upbeat staff.
For what it is, it’s incredibly delicious. I would not say this is a “must do” in Athens. But very very tasty! I got the Santa’s choice, white cream in the dough balls and red fruit ice cream. So good.
These lukumádes are perfectly crispy and light, and the store offers many delicious toppings to choose from such as honey and cinnamon. The server placed the treats in a box and gave me a small forks that I could easily enjoy them outside.
I'm in love with this lukumades shop in the heart of Athens. I've been here several times and every time is a joy for the senses. The lukumades are Greek traditional doughnuts, a really delicious dessert. Here at LUKUMAΔΕΣ they make them right in front of you and as a result the dough balls are very fresh. You can try them in so many ways, from the very classic honey and cinnamon to the one with pralines and ice cream. They are hot, fluffy and crispy at the same time and I can assure you that every combination you make will be worth it. I really enjoyed the one filled with pistachio! Also the portions are very big for a very good price! Last but not least the staff is very kind and professional. A must try and I'm sure you will come back.
Though the signature dish is lukumades, we haven’t tried them but we ordered homemade lemonade and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t homemade. It tasted like lemon syrup with some peppermint flavor. Anyway not good at all. Store is located road aside so it’s noisy, but anyway nice place to stop by and taste some lukumades I guess! Corona virus precautions are held very well and the store manager was very polite and eager to serve!
I’ve been here twice already and it’s only my second day in Athens! The lukumades are amazing and there is a huge variety meaning you’ll always find something to suit your tastes. (My current favourite is the banana cream filled with icing sugar)! I also had the mango sorbet milkshake with almond milk and that was also really good. The staff are always super friendly and nice and they make the experience even better! Will be back several times before I leave
