Auf Bourtzi, der grünen Halbinsel, befindet sich das Kulturzentrum der Gemeinde Skiathos, dass das ganze Jahr, insbesondere jedoch während der Sommermonate, Kulturveranstaltungen beherbergt. Auf den Ruinen der venezianischen Festung Agios Georgios, die 1207 errichtet wurde, war erst die alte Grundschule, eine Schenkung von Andreas Syngros, und heute das Städtische Kulturzentrum untergebracht. Der Eintritt in das kleine Museum kostete im Mai 2018 – 2 Euro
