Beautiful views, very interesting area. It is just off the road. I recommend parking a bit to the south above the beach. The path to the bastion is dangerous, be careful, but don't be put off by it, its doable and well worth it.

Worth stopping on the side of the road. Easy climb up and fun to explore. Great views of the coast and the Mediterranean Sea from the top. Comes up quick though so you have to be looking for it.
Not much with this castle ruin but with stunning view back to Heraklion.
Just off the main road, great views of the bay and no one else there. If you want to get a little of the beaten track, highly recommended!
