If you can afford it, pay the extra 4 for a more informative tour. This \tour\ amounts to glorified bus transport across the city. We were expecting to learn about the city and its history but there was no more than 5 minutes of commentary with no background and the music played the other 85 minutes. The red tour we have taken in other cities tends to have a lot more information.

Really bad drivers and poor commentary on the audio system. Sounds like it was done in the 90's. One of the bus drivers was quite rude to a few passengers, obviously hated his job or thought he was good enough to never need a word in his ear to not be abusive. Will never use this company again. Go for the red or yellow buses instead.
Just the same as all open top buses. And this was about the 50 or 51 we have been on. Much the easiest way to visit any city at at reasonable cost
Inexpensive way to see Athens sights. Audio commentary and hop off, hop on service. Drop off at cruise terminal.
If you want to get around the city easier and cheaper take the metro or walk. If you want a guide pay a bit more for a better bus or actual guide, as the audio quality and commentary are both horrendous.
