Very good to go around town, interesting and nice. There are 2 different companies on the same square, and they are very close to each other, but buses are not interchangeable, so just pick the one you prefer. One costed 20 Euro for adults and was free for children. The other costed 16 Euro for adults and 6 Euro for children. We picked yhe first one and paid additional 5 Euros per adult to visit Pireaus line too. They are giving you free beers if you drink, and headsets. It's hot in summer, better take more water. And enjoy!

We had planned to use the new X80 bus service to get from the cruise terminal into Athens. Unfortunately this 4.50 (round trip) service gets suspended in mid October. Looking for an alternative, we purchased two day tickets from the port for US68. During summer daytime there is supposed to be ½ hourly service to Athens and 15 minute service on the Athens Red route. It was about an hour drive into Athens following part of the coast road in the port area. A red line bus was waiting when we got to the transfer point in Athens. We found the audio quality of the headsets very poor and largely unintelligible. The driver’s announcements of the stops was also poor and we basically understood only the number. There is no way to advise the driver you want to get off from the upper deck. You really have to get below before you arrive at the stop you want. We found the drive on the Red Route tedious. There are relatively few major points of interest but many minutes of driving and stopping in very narrow, congested and crowded streets. You really get an appreciation of the skills of these drivers as they maneuver through these areas. The return trip to the cruise terminal took about 30 minutes. Overall I did not think this was value for money. I would try another company to get better audio. Returning again I think I would use the Metro to get around.

Unfortunately when we boarded and purchased we were not aware the line was closed behind us due to planned protests. So guide wasn't turned on. We drove another direction to be dropped off. Never completed a full cycle. Driver was overwhelmed and rude. Shouldn't have taken our money. (Athens)

Lovely woman sold us the tickets for this We took the bus to the Acropolis stop the later returned for a longer journey. It was raining that afternoon so it was a good way to see the sights and stay dry.

The tour was ok but expensive. I don't recommend in winter. The bus was not very punctual. The quality of the audio guide was very poor.

Shorter hours during this time of year. No walking tours even though it said there were when ordering online.
