This hospital is a part of the Aristotle University, hence, there are many excellent doctors in there. However, the hospital's organisation is awful. Most of the nurses must be fired as they are not suitable for this type of work. Usually, the patients suffer from their unacceptable, unhelpful and ignorant behaviour. The doctors do nothing about it. The management is non-existent. My both parents were patients in this hospital and I can confirm that bribery is part of everyday practice in this medical institution. It is unclear when this is going to be over as this hospital is one of the major hospitals in Northern Greece.

While a lot better than the average public hospital, it still has its problems. The staff is skilled, experienced and friendly. However, the environment is unnerving and the halls can become a bit crowded and chaotic.
Worst ever hospital i saw the last 44 years.......doctors level below 0 , nurses 7hours per shift just smoking outside , cockroaches more than human stuff and dont ever ask anyone about some information (health status of your patient) cause its more likelly to beat you than to explain anything.... You can die at your home ........maybe But you can cure at everyother hospital except this thing that its called axepa hospital..............
Great surgeon but nurses were in general miserable, stupid and some of them racist/xenophobic. Dirty, old and horrible facilities.
